Get to know me:
I'm an avid believer in positively affecting my surroundings. People and connections are where I thrive. Personable and affable by nature, I take great care in the relationships I have the privilege to establish. Home is Vancouver Island, in awe inspiring British Columbia, Canada. When 'out of office' I pursue activities such as: trail running, soccer, snowboarding, hiking, and travel. Otherwise, you may catch me supping craft beer, obsessing over my soccer team's performance, snooping around retro sneaker-culture-content, and lastly, but most importantly, parenting (toddler dancing with) my adorable two year old daughter.

Through the course of my professional life, since University, I have always written. Writing professionally but also in an extracurricular capacity. I offer a versatility in writing that covers areas such as:

Ecommerce marketing copy - proven ability in writing incisive marketing copy, persuading consumers to 'add to cart', unique landing pages, designing and writing openable emails, website assets, and importantly SEO optimized copy including meta data. Key involvement in end to end marketing campaigns and social media.

B2B projects - ranging from industry-friendly share documents, to refining technical language for company wide consumption whilst promoting overriding messages, copyediting with an outsiders eye in reducing clause structures and minimizing jargon. Social media copy.

Tourism & Creative - a diverse occupational and personal history, that encompassed a move of continents a decade ago, has helped colour a flexible register and scalable tone in my writing. Recently producing engaging tourism copy for provincial tourist-board managed websites alongside compelling investigative blog articles for a provincial Farmers' Market Association. Bios and promotional pieces for fashion and apparel brands. Long-form-entry travel blogging and album reviewing for an award winning music blog.

2018-2022
Inside Out Living
Inside Out Living is a leading online retailer for indoor and outdoor furnishings/decor strategically positioned in the UK market. My time here was spent heading up all site wide copy and content, managing a small team of writers and SEO specialists. I crafted engaging content catered for multiple channels; largely blog posting, marketing emails, product descriptions/specs, landing pages, and social media posts.
2010-present
Various Projects
From experience spanning ecommerce, B2B clients, and copy produced for creative industries, I have contributed to an array of projects over the last decade or so. A flexible register, ability to pivot with tone-of-voice, and attention to detail have helped me deliver top-rate copy for these pieces.
2011-2013
Mr. Hare
Mr. Hare was a high-end men's footwear company with two central London retail locations, and a global online ecommerce store. I managed their boutique, situated in Mayfair, but also produced a weekly newsletter for the website in which my mission was to engage and enthrall new clients with our unique product. Full creative flexibility was handed to me.
